16 June 2025Not just in writing, medicine, and technology—artificial intelligence can also provide valuable support in the world of event organization, in at least two different areas: on one hand, by simplifying organizational aspects, and on the other, by enhancing the participant experience.
AI can be particularly helpful for PCOs (Professional Congress Organizers) in profiling potential attendee categories, allowing for the delivery of personalized and engaging communications. In the case of large-scale events with thousands of participants, it can assist in coordinating and managing technical resources and materials, as well as monitoring the flow of attendees to prevent delays or other issues during the registration process.
Regarding the second aspect, AI can make events more effective and engaging for participants. For example, it can help speakers monitor audience attention in real time, giving them the opportunity to adjust their presentations in ways that reignite interest—perhaps with jokes or interactive questions.
AI can truly enrich and improve the quality of events through its many diverse applications. However, it’s important to remember that artificial intelligence is a tool meant to support professionals—whose human touch, empathy, and decision-making abilities remain irreplaceable. Ultimately, it is still people who make the real difference.
