A place for medical-scientific conferences
3 September 2025Corporate parties and convivial moments
10 November 2025Trieste, as we know, is a city with a strong connection to the scientific world and technological innovation. One important factor that helps us feel part of this significant environment—and literally connects us to it—is the contribution of the GARR Network.
This is a high-level fiber-optic infrastructure that links centers of knowledge across Europe and the world, such as research institutes, universities, laboratories, and museums. Among the approximately 100 access points spread throughout the country, our Generali Convention Center Trieste is one of the very few conference centers in Italy enabled for the GARR Network. The network was conceived and is managed by Consortium GARR, a non-profit organization established under the auspices of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.
The technical characteristics of the GARR network ensure extremely low latency in data transmission, making it ideal for transferring large volumes of data, ultra-high-definition audio/video, and real-time communications. This allows us to guarantee optimal performance for connections and live streaming, and to host events that require particularly demanding data transmission capabilities.
