Don’t just treat individual diseases: treat the person as a whole.
This is the philosophy behind the medical congress Il Paziente Cronico (“The Chronic Patient”), which we hosted at the Generali Convention Center Trieste back on October 24 and 25, an event accredited for ECM credits.

The topic is highly relevant today: the need to care for patients with multiple, often chronic, conditions through a network that brings together cardiologists, diabetologists, pulmonologists, nephrologists, and general practitioners. The coexistence of several diseases requires a comprehensive approach, especially since the use of multiple medications increases the risk of dangerous interactions and may compromise treatment effectiveness.

The course, organized by the Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority (ASUGI) through its Territorial Specialist Department, explored these issues in its fifth edition. The two-day event, held in our Magazzino 27 venue, brought together a wide range of healthcare professionals.
