On Saturday, May 10, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, a conference on the topic “Open Water Swimming” will be held in the Josef Ressel Hall, organized by HADRIA as part of its 2025 edition of the event HADRIA – Swimming That Unites, the only multi-stage race of its kind in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The conference program includes the following speakers:

4:00 PM: Marco Paghi, sports physician and swimming champion, will speak about open water swimming, exploring the origins, development, and history of the discipline, while sharing firsthand accounts of his experiences.

5:15 PM: Federico Vanelli, Olympic athlete from the Fiamme Oro Sports Group, will talk about his career in the sport and the remarkable rescue of a twelve-year-old boy in the Adda River in 2024.

6:15 PM: Massimo Giuliani, former head coach of the Italian national team and one of the country’s leading experts on safety in long-distance swimming events, will discuss the competitive side of the discipline and how to train and compete safely.
